The Traditional Tibetan Medicine is the Art of Healing based on experience of thousands of years in the area of Tibet.
The long history of Tibet secured the survival of its original, medical system into the 20th century.
The global changes as well as the great changes within Tibet catapult the country and people in no time into the 3rd Millenium. The wisdom and the knowledge of thousands of years are endangered to be forgotten. Advancing civilisation intimidates pristine areas, which, since long time, are the natural source of the medical herbs for the Tibetan Medicine.
There is need for speedy help to preserve the knowledge, and, to make it available to the people of the 3rd Millenium conjoined with the achievements of modern medicine.
The Tibetan Lady Doctor Dönckie Emchi, who lives and practices Tibetan Medicine in Europe, made this her raison d‘ętre. Upon her initiative the Patrons’ Association for Yuthok Hospital was founded in 1999. The construction of the hospital has started in the same year.
